Empowering Young People Through Experience:
Our Erasmus+ Collaboration and Tech Industry Field Trips

At Éire Dialogue, we have always believed that empowering young people begins with opening doors, doors to knowledge, to new cultures, to opportunities, and to real-world experiences that can shape their future. As part of that mission, we work closely with schools, universities, and educational organisations across Ireland and Europe to support youth development through dialogue, community engagement, and intercultural learning.

One of the initiatives we are most proud of is our ongoing collaboration with Erasmus+, through which we host students from across the European Union for internships and work-experience programmes. These young people bring incredible curiosity, passion, and fresh perspectives to our work, and in return, we aim to provide an environment where they can grow, learn, and feel genuinely inspired.

This year, we wanted to take that experience one step further.

Thanks to our strong relationships with some of the biggest tech companies in Dublin, including Google, LinkedIn, SAP, and others, we organised special field trips that allowed our Erasmus+ students to spend a day inside these companies, exploring their culture, meeting professionals, and witnessing firsthand what a modern, global workplace looks like.

For many of the students, it was their first time stepping into such an environment. The sense of excitement was real, seeing innovation up close, learning about career paths they never knew existed, and realising that these spaces are not beyond their reach. Moments like these don’t just inform; they inspire. They plant seeds of confidence and possibility.

We believe these experiences do more than develop skills, they create lasting memories, spark meaningful connections, and help young people see themselves as part of a bigger world. Whether they move into community work, technology, education, or something entirely different, they carry with them the spirit of dialogue, openness, and collaboration that defines our mission.

Our partnership with Erasmus+ continues to grow, and each group of students reminds us why this work matters. Together, we are helping shape a generation of young leaders who believe in inclusion, understanding, and the power of people coming together.

And that will always be one of the most meaningful parts of what we do.
